How we work together

Personal growth coaching in Portugal is available in English, both online and on-site. Each session is shaped around what you are carrying and what you hope to change, so we define the best way forward together based on your lived experience, your needs, and the pace that feels right for you. This form of coaching in Portugal often supports people through life transitions, recovery, and periods of uncertainty.

My work often moves through three complementary directions: Family and Systemic Constellations, Embodied and Experiential Work, and Integrative One-to-One Inquiry. These approaches support healing from both childhood and adult trauma, help rebuild self-trust and agency, and offer grounded support through life transitions and periods of uncertainty.

Sometimes our work is simply about slowing down and allowing space to breathe again, using a Gestalt-informed, relational approach. At other times, we may explore through conversation, movement, creativity, or nature. Where intergenerational or systemic patterns are present, Family Constellation work can bring clarity, resolution, and a deeper sense of belonging.

It’s difficult to give general guidelines because I treat each person individually and work with you according to what you need and at your own pace.

My approach is focused on helping you gain clarity, create movement, and make meaningful changes. Many people find that a small number of sessions is enough to gain valuable insight and direction.

We review things regularly and decide together what feels most helpful.

Some people choose to have a few initial sessions and then return months later when something new arises. Others prefer regular weekly sessions until they feel the work has naturally reached a point of completion. For many people this may be a few weeks or a few months, though it varies from person to person.

In my experience, a number of people find that around six to eight sessions allows enough space to explore what is happening beneath the surface and begin to create meaningful change.

Recovery work often benefits from a little more structure than other forms of personal growth work. Together we may agree on regular check-ins, suggested reading, or small practical steps to explore between sessions.

Recovery is not only about understanding patterns — it is also about the work of changing them in daily life. For that reason questions or reflections may arise between sessions as you begin to apply what we explore together.

You are always welcome to contact me by email or WhatsApp if something important comes up. In recovery work we are working together with clear agreements and mutual commitment, and I do my best to remain available and supportive throughout the process.

Based on our agreed plan, I am available by email or WhatsApp should you have any questions or concerns between sessions. Don’t hesitate to reach out.

Remember that we are working together as a team, and I will do my best to support your recovery process.

Even when there are longer pauses between sessions, the connection does not disappear. I remain available in the background, ready to support you whenever you need it.

After you contact me, I will send you a short background form so that we can consider together whether I am the right person to support you.We then arrange an introductory conversation where we discuss what is bringing you to this work and agree on an approach for moving forward. At that point we also clarify the costs and practical arrangements for the sessions. The work may involve reflective conversation, practical exercises, and simple awareness practices that help you understand patterns and explore new ways of responding to life.

The first session is usually about establishing your goals and intentions for our time together and agreeing on a checkpoint after four to six sessions. This helps give the work focus and allows us to explore the issues you would like to address while moving towards the changes you hope to make.

At the review point we simply reflect together:

  • Are your needs being met?

  • Does the work feel right for you?

From there you may decide to continue, adjust the approach, or take a break. I am here to support you in whatever direction feels right for you.

Because this work is about building trust and rapport, it usually unfolds over a number of sessions rather than a single meeting.

I offer a reduced rate when five sessions are booked in advance. In this case the sixth session is included, which represents roughly a 20% reduction.

Fees are also adjusted according to the country you live in and individual circumstances. We discuss and agree the exact fee during our introductory conversation.

Where possible, I also try to give people a little more time than they have paid for so that the work can unfold without feeling rushed, particularly for those living in countries where income levels are lower, such as Portugal.

The aim is to make the work accessible while respecting the time and care involved.
